Welcome to Sherpa Food Tours in Mexico City, part of our global collection of High-Fidelity Local Experiences. This tour was designed to uncover the vibrancy of one of the world’s greatest food cities, led by passionate locals. It's a culinary and cultural adventure served with insight, bold flavor, and a touch of mezcal.

We begin at a traditional taquería worthy of Michelin recognition to taste staple tacos de barbacoa. From there, we dive into fusion taqueria expanding the frontier for tacos where you get skip-the-queue treatment in, yet another, Michelin recognized Taco. From here you'll explore what Mexico has to offer beyond tacos, a deep tradition of ancestral recipes from top chefs that support both the environment and local communities. Dishes will expand your knowledge of Mexican food leaving you in awe and with proper understanding of why Mexican food is UNESCO patrimony. It’s a journey through the past, present, and future of Mexican cuisine, one unforgettable bite at a time.

Our backdrop is Roma Norte, a neighborhood that captures the creative pulse of Mexico City. Once the domain of grand mansions and European cafés, today it’s a buzzing, walkable haven of leafy streets, art deco facades, and some of the most exciting food in Latin America. Between bites, you’ll wander past galleries, bakeries, and vintage storefronts, catching the rhythm of local life in one of the city’s most dynamic districts.
