Buenos Aires

I grew up in a small town in the province of Corrientes, Argentina. I moved to Buenos Aires over 12 years ago. I arrived as a tourist, exploring every corner of the city, and I now feel at home like a true local. Ever since, I've loved showing my friends the hidden spots and special tastes that make this city so memorable. Now, I take other food lovers around Buenos Aires.

I’ve been in the food industry for several years and I’m really passionate about everything food and drinks. I love being outdoors and close to nature and I take any chance to travel and disconnect. I’m also a literature and music student. You’ll usually find me at a cozy café with a book in hand, hanging out in a park, exploring new restaurants and bars, or enjoying live music somewhere in the city.

Buenos Aires FAQ'S
What is a Buenos Aires Food Tour?

A Buenos Aires Food Tour is an immersive, guided culinary journey that takes you through the heart of Argentina’s food scene. This experience allows you to sample a variety of traditional Argentine dishes, from iconic steaks and empanadas to lesser-known regional specialties, all while exploring vibrant neighborhoods like Palermo or San Telmo. Along the way, you’ll visit carefully selected local markets, family-owned eateries, and hidden gems that showcase the rich culinary traditions of Buenos Aires. Your expert guide will share insights into the history, culture, and stories behind each dish, providing a deeper connection to the food and the people who make it. Whether you’re a food enthusiast or simply curious about Argentine cuisine, this tour offers a fun and flavorful way to experience the true taste of Buenos Aires. It's not just about the food; it's about discovering the soul of the city through its most cherished flavors.

What types of food will I try on the tour?

On the tour, you'll have the opportunity to taste a variety of iconic Argentine dishes, such as savory empanadas, delicious choripán, crispy milanesa, sweet dulce de leche, and local wines. Each tour is thoughtfully curated to offer a diverse selection of traditional flavors, and the exact dishes may vary depending on the restaurants and food stops we visit. Every bite will give you a deeper appreciation of Argentina's rich culinary heritage.

Is the food tour suitable for vegetarians or people with dietary restrictions?

Yes, the food tour can be customized to accommodate vegetarian, gluten-free, and lactose-intolerant diets. Unfortunately, we can't accommodate to a vegan diet whilst maintaining the same quality standards we are famous for. Please let us know about any dietary restrictions or preferences at least 24 hours in advance, and we’ll make sure to tailor the experience to suit your needs.

What is included in the tour price?

The price of our food tour includes all food tastings, drinks (whether wine or non-alcoholic), and a knowledgeable guide. What happens if it rains?

Our tours go on rain or shine! We’ve carefully planned indoor stops to keep you comfortable in case of rain, but we recommend bringing an umbrella just in case. In the event of heavy rain, we may adjust the tour’s start time to ensure the best experience. Rest assured, we’ll make sure you have a great time, no matter the weather.

How much walking is there on the tours?

There is an average of 4 blocks in between each restaurant. The idea is for you to get to know the neighborhood and its local life. No better way to do that than walking! Getting those extra steps will help you make room for dessert!

How much food is there on the tour?

We will be eating and drinking plenty! No one has ever left our tours hungry. We take the “food” in “food tour” VERY seriously.

Can I join a food tour if I’m traveling alone?

Absolutely! Our food tours are perfect for solo travelers, couples, or small groups. It’s a fantastic way to meet fellow food lovers from all over the world, share stories, and enjoy the experience together. Whether you’re exploring solo or with others, you’ll feel right at home on our tours.

Do I need to book the food tour in advance?

Yes, we strongly recommend booking your food tour in advance to guarantee availability, especially during peak tourist seasons, which typically run from December to February and over major holidays. Our tours tend to fill up quickly, and last-minute bookings may not be possible, so securing your spot early ensures you don’t miss out on this unforgettable experience.
